light slaughter lambs sharply higher; slaughter ewes firm; feeder lambs
not well tested.

  Sioux Falls:    wooled and shorn 100-150 lbs 165.00-185.00; 150-165 lbs
                  163.00-166.00.
Slaughter Lambs:  Choice and Prime 1-2:
  Sioux Falls:    wooled and shorn 58 lbs 260.00; 75 lbs 260.00; 80 lbs
                  300.00; 90-100 lbs 225.00-250.00.
  Buffalo, MO:    hair 48 lbs 355.00; 50-60 lbs 330.00-360.00; 60-70 lbs
                  330.00-340.00; 70-80 lbs 312.50-320.00. 
Slaughter Ewes:

Sheep and lamb slaughter under federal inspection for the week to date
totaled 24,000 compared with 21,000 last week and 23,000 last year.
